In the heart of Abidjan, La Maison Palmier (the palm tree house in English) stands tall, a boutique hotel that whispers luxury amidst the palm trees. Designed by Ivorian architect Desiré M’bengue and touched by the finesse of French architect Maxime Liautard, it’s more than a hotel—it’s a place where modern comfort meets vintage charm in the vibrant landscape of West and Central Africa.
Amidst 200 varieties of palm trees, La Maison Palmier unfolds as a leafy oasis in the residential enclave of Les Deux Plateaux. The nine low-slung structures, uniquely designed yet harmonious, offer a contemporary and residential feel. Garden paths wind through the lush outdoor spaces, connecting living areas to the central pool, adorned with green marble, creating a true oasis in the heart of the city.
The 72 rooms and suites, strategically placed in the residential district of II Plateaux, boast generous dimensions and high ceilings. Each space is meticulously designed, featuring a built-in desk, exceptional bedding, dressing room, and a bathroom adorned with quality materials. The play of brightness, soft colors, and the purity of lines create an atmosphere of serenity.
Maxime Liautard’s interior design is the soul of La Maison Palmier. Sophisticated lines, Old World details, and local artwork seamlessly blend to create warm and welcoming guestrooms. Garden-view windows, bespoke furnishings, terrazzo floors, and textiles curated by a Senegalese designer add to the charm. The spacious bathrooms, filled with natural light, showcase cream and sage-colored tiles and elegant Art Deco-influenced mirrors.
