Mimz Interiors, a Lagos-based interior design studio created a double-volume monochromatic living room with gold accents featuring a duotone colour scheme, matching patterns, and bold furniture. The bold furniture choices not only complement the design but also add a touch of contemporary flair.

The seating layout of this living room is quite functional. The designer did this with a pair of modern two-seater Chesterfield sofas and two single sofa seats arranged around a two-tier gold coffee table. The media center hosts a sizable television set and a black base console to match the colour of one of the Chesterfield sofas. The general aesthetic was tied together by an area rug with duotone colour streaks.

The space albeit compact, was accorded the ornamentation and decoration it deserves as a major space in a residential setting. Mimz Interiors especially did this by infusing the monochromatic living room with gold accents through elements such as the coffee table, the chandelier, and the gold trim on the TV wall. The grey marble tiles on the TV wall further added a sense of grandeur to the space.
