Nest Lagos, designed by Kansept Plus, showcases an afro-inspired restaurant interior that has cultural elements incorporated in a modern way to portray a moody ambiance. Located in Victoria Island, Lagos this restaurant offers a distinctive design that emphasizes texture, lighting and natural elements.
The main dining area features textured dark grey walls and matching floors providing a consistent but subdued backdrop. The designers carefully integrated indoor planting behind the booth seats to bring a natural touch to the space.

Koncept Plus tried to provide several layers of lighting by first providing ambient light on the walls, mood lights beneath booth seat and the bar ledge and finally hover lamps with wabi-sabi inspired lamp heads for focus lighting over the dining tables. To guide the appearance of lighting within the space, Koncept Plus used reflective surfaces on the tables and the feature ceiling. This also added depth and character to the space.

The Afro-inspired restaurant interior is further highlighted through booth seats upholstered in African-patterned fabric and single seats with rattan backs. The bar’s dramatic facade, with protruding elements, draws attention and adds more character to the interior.
