Spanish Architects baragaño, in collaboration with ArcelorMittal, have designed #bh01, a prefabricated, modular housing model that can be completely constructed off-site, within the space of 80 days, then transported and installed to its desired location.
Inspired by the mass production of automotive and aerospace industries, the architects based the 39 sqm unit on a modular system that may be expanded vertically or horizontally in the future, with a flexible choice of finishes that can vary depending on the user.
The idea is to make construction easier, generate less waste and increase safety in the process of developing housing. The construction duration offers low costs, fast turnaround times and a resultant quick return on investment.
