The Art of things (TAOT), a furniture brand by Ghanaian Architects, dotDWG Studio, unveils the Oval Table. The furniture piece encourages pause and reflection in a world where fast-paced living has become the norm.
According to TAOT, the design of the Oval Table is inspired by a universal experience reminisce of “the moment when you pause in the middle of the road to gaze at the sky, feeling suspended in time and immersed in the beauty of your surroundings.”
Inspired by the Adinkra symbol in the Ghanaian culture “Wo nsa da mu a, wonni nnya wo”, meaning, “If your hands are in the dish, people do not eat everything and leave you nothing,” the table embodies the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.

More than just a piece of furniture, The table invites people “to bring that sense of stillness and reflection into their space. With its curves and flowing lines, it serves as a visual metaphor for harmony, making it the perfect centerpiece for moments of connection or solitary contemplation.”

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the table “combines lasting quality with understated elegance,” the designers noted. “Its smooth curves and flowing lines create a visual metaphor for harmony, making it a stunning centerpiece for both shared gatherings and solitary moments of thought.”
According to designers, the table is a highly functional piece that goes beyond utility. It celebrates the moments of inspection, reflection, sharing, and beauty while also providing space for sanctuary, connection, and contemplation.
