Kenya-based firm, Urko Sanchez Architects, unveils their new petrol station, which blends into its surroundings, taking inspiration from Kenya’s iconic acacia trees.

The petrol station design draws inspiration from local environments and incorporates sustainable elements which include natural shading umbrellas, resulting in a functional space that respects the natural surroundings. The balance between function and nature showcases how architecture can coexist with the environment.

The natural shading umbrellas mimic the tree’s canopy, providing relief from the sun while minimizing disruption to the environment. A balance between function and nature.
