Australia based BCompact design have designed the Hybrid Stairs, a dynamic fold away staircase that are a perfect solution to small spaces, especially in urban scenarios.
The compact stairs feature an automatically compacting, active aluminium hand rail and (optional), fully or semi automatic safety gate mechanism so access at top of a landing is never open when stairs are folded flat to wall. The video above give further detail about the product.
