Nomadic African Studio Launched By African Futures Institute

African Futures Institute has unveiled their transformative Nomadic African Studio – an annual month-long studio, which came to fruition after a year of planning, fundraising, researching and intense discussion.

According to the institute, the Nomadic African Studio brings together participants and faculty members who will work together to “open new territories of thought and action, exploring some of today’s most challenging issues, including cultural identity, migration, displacement, climate change, race and social equity, public health, governance, and city-making.”

We offer 24-30 participants the opportunity to join our faculty in an annual, month-long studio aimed at exploring topics that are relevant to our continent in innovative and future facing ways.

The Institute noted that inaugural studio will take place in Fez, Morocco, from 18 July to 15 August 2025. Participants will be selected in two ways: through a rigorous nominating process and through a short Open Call t- whose portal will be launched on 17 February, 2025.
