South Africa-based design firm, Scott and Partners, recently shared details of its mixed-use development in Kigali, Rwanda.
According to the Architects, the mixed-use development in Kigali is a multigenerational entertainment facility structured around an urban forest-park environment. The facility features a flagship restaurant, hotel, and apartments.
The complex’s modular architecture comprises interconnected buildings with varying heights and shapes, creating a dynamic, sculptural skyline. A central courtyard serves as a community focal point, providing natural light and ventilation to surrounding structures.
Overall, the contextual design of the mixed-use development ensures seamless transitions between built structures and green spaces, fostering a park-like ambiance that minimizes environmental impact while enhancing users’ quality of life.
