The Ecobank Design Competition invites Nigerian architecture students to showcase their creativity through sustainable design.
Open to all universities, the competition challenges participants to design an eco-friendly shading pavilion using local materials within a 9-square-meter floor area and a height of 2.9 meters. The budget for each pavilion is capped at N5 million, encouraging affordable, lightweight structures.
Designs should protect users from direct sunlight, allow natural ventilation, and seat six people in an efficient layout. Prefabrication is key, requiring each pavilion to be assembled off-site in two weeks and installed on location in under 48 hours.
This Ecobank design competition is an exciting opportunity for students to represent their universities and envision sustainable architecture. All entries are to be submitted by email to events@ecobank.com by November 16th, 2024.
