Designed by Sergey Lvov of Levantin Design, the KUBIS Collection of lamps is as they describe it, “…a shaping attempt in terms of searching for the new reality.” (google translated from Russian)
Having combined the latest tradition of art direction and graphic design with the basic elements of the graphical philosophy of suprematism from the beginning of the 20th century (quadrangle, cross and circle) they made an effort to transfer from the two-dimensional plane the typical features of the both styles, by integrating them in each other, and thus creating an abstract image in three-dimensional reality. Hence, the Kubis Lamp.
Its a fun, quirky yet artsy piece with loads of character and an eccentric colour palette, drawing from old principles and traditions to create something modern and unique. You can see more of this very unique design here, and follow them on behance and instagram.
