Miminat Designs, repurposed a pottery studio into a private commercial office for Giant Ventures, a venture capital firm. The office seamlessly merges a cozy ambiance with a professional corporate setting—an unconventional feat in itself.
Bathed in natural light from expansive glass ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the spaces radiate warmth and sophistication. Sustainable raw materials like wood, jute, and stone anchor the design, while touches of luxe velvet, glass, and brass impart an air of elegance. The extensive use of various timber species, including British Oak, Ash, Mahogany, Wenge, Zebrano, and Walnut, enhances the overall aesthetic across flooring, walls, and furniture.

Some of the major spaces provided in the private commercial office building include: the boardroom, pool office and private offices. In each space, the intended character is noticeably carried through consistently to achieve the desired vibe.

Tonal hues of mustard, ochre, and cognac inject vibrant pops of color into the predominantly neutral private commercial office environment. The wood’s natural beauty is showcased through built-in storage and shelving, complemented by bespoke furniture, notably the striking RINA Cabinet by Miminat Designs that stands as a focal point in the boardroom, contributing to the workspace’s unique character.

A captivating feature wall in this private commercial office steals the spotlight, adorned with a vast collection of 3,000 vintage National Geographic copies dating back to 1892, offering a visually compelling narrative. The office doubles as an art gallery, with pieces by renowned artists like David Hockney, Bridget Riley, Sebastiao Salgado, and Mattea Perrotta, alongside Shodeinde’s own creations.

The constant undulating dance between different shades of the colours and textures used in this private commercial office is an experience on it’s own. This exceptional blend of artistry, thoughtful design, and repurposing a former pottery studio into a harmonious, sophisticated workspace exemplifies Miminat Designs’ ingenuity in shaping distinctive environments that transcend the conventional office paradigm.
