Do you have something to say about Sustainable Architecture? Bee Breeders, in partnership with ARCHHIVE BOOKS, is calling for essay submissions for their next print publication “What is Sustainable Architecture?”, which is planned for release in spring 2021.
As you are no doubt aware, the pursuit of greener technologies and more sustainable methods of construction has been a central focus within the field of architecture and design for decades. It has birthed some inspirational and innovative ideas, many of which may have sounded strange at first. Solar powered kiosks for off-grid communities. Shipping container construction. Modular building. Self-healing bio concrete. Grasscrete. Anything and everything has been explored in order to leave less of an impact on the environment during the construction and life-cycle of new structures. This competition lets you have your say on what you believe defines sustainable architecture.
Who is Eligible to Compete?
Participants from any field are invited to enter, not just those in architecture and design, with selected winners being included in the aforementioned print publication, titled “What is Sustainable Architecture?” as well as receiving monetary awards.
Key Dates
The “What is Sustainable Architecture?” essay competition is open until November 11, 2020, with winners of the 1,000 € prize fund to be announced on February 24, 2020.
