[dropcap size=big]I[/dropcap]n 1988, Chuka Ihonor designed the JOI House in Parkview Estate Ikoyi, which was built in 1991. It stands as a modest Modernist home on a square footprint of 10.8m by 10.8m on a small plot with a small garden. The building is a lesson in design of Modernist space and shares a plot with another, larger building.
The JOI House was a part of the Open House Lagos 2018 Ikoyi Tour.
