9H Design Talk by Caauie Lifestyle – Tolu Onabolu speaking

[dropcap size=big]C[/dropcap]aauie lifestyle’s  9H Design Talk for the month of June will be taking place on Thursday 28th June 2018 by 6:00pm at the usual venue, The Atrium, fourteen 36 mall, 1436 Sanusi Fafunwa str, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. Speaking at the event on the topic of “Architecture, [not about] buildings”, is Tolu Onabolu, an architect working with narrative fiction, who is more at home with Sci-fi, Anime and Horror. He says:

‘One view of architecture which stays with me is the one which suggests that architecture is not about buildings. The professional training of the architect however, prescribes the contrary… In this presentation, I will discuss the ubiquity of architecture outside of building’.

Tolu graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University and holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. His speciality encompasses Design and Digital Media, Computation in Architecture, Architectural Theory, Architectural Design, Urban Design, and Design Informatics. He teaches at The University of Edinburgh and been published by Cambridge University Press. He has worked independently and extensively since 2012 in the UK and in Nigeria.
