“If Chairs Could Talk”, Yinka Ilori’s Solo Installation at the Shop at BlueBird

Meet Backbone, one of the five chairs from Yinka ilori’s latest work, “If chairs could talk”. The solo installation will be taking place in The Shop at Bluebird, London from the 17th of September to the 27th of November.

The Launching will occur at the same time with London Design Festival and will continue for six weeks. Here is a description of the work;

“In his new body of work he will present a series of five chairs, using them as narrators to create a captivating collective of modern art that mimics characters from his child. More specifically the exhibition focuses on the well know parable “Despite how long the neck of the giraffe is, it can’t see the future’ creating a thought provoking installation that gives the audience an insight into the artists journey to adulthood.”
