Group Head Office Of Appzone Group Optimizes Workspace Productivity

Aklof Associates integrates workspace enhancing technology in the design and fit-out of the head office of Appzone Group (now Zone), a blockchain enabled payment infrastructure company in Lagos, Nigeria.

According to the Nigerian architects, their objective for the Head Office of Appzone Group was to create an efficient workspace that harmonizes form and function in the bustling heart of the city. In response, they adopted a pragmatic approach, prioritizing functionality in their design of the sprawling two-floor workspace, spanning 277 square meters on each level.

Our mandate was clear: to craft an office design that embodies minimalist elegance, predominantly defined by a muted color palette, gently punctuated by vivid accents.

A notable feature of the design is the boardroom, which boasts floor-to-ceiling collapsible walls that can transform the space into a large conference room accommodating up to 20 individuals. Immersive technology like Logitech video conferencing solutions and zone-controlled ceiling speakers were seamlessly integrated in all meeting rooms, diffusing ambient music throughout the office.

In recognition of the evolving nature of work in the digital age, the designers rejigged the standard desk-and-chair arrangement, optimizing the productivity of workspaces and private offices. Other interactive spaces include breakout lounges for relaxation and informal meetings and a versatile amphitheater which is used for communal gatherings and brainstorming sessions.

Throughout the project, Aklof Associates emphasized transparency by using glass and aluminum extensively. The design also incorporates light-colored wood for the workstations and strategically placed vibrant wall murals, thus invigorating the workspace and the same time, reflecting Appzone’s minimalist principles.
