Elphick Proome Architecture has unveiled their latest project, a compact office building for BET Software, a leading African software provider. Located on a prominent corner, this striking building is designed to meet the needs of a specialist IT company.
The structure is elevated on a basement podium and features a perforated envelope that adds a dynamic visual element. The three stories of the compact office building feature a glass facade with vertical facade screens, offering broad ocean views that enhance the working environment. These floors are anchored to a solid core on the western side, which also serves as an elegant entry portal.
Inside, the office space embraces an industrial aesthetic with exposed services and bold drop-down lights set against ceiling mesh. The design makes bold use of glass, steel, and wood, with rustic textures creating a warm yet contemporary feel. The vibrant interior is further enlivened by elements of nature, including a life-sized rhino sculpture, paintings, wall murals, rattan seats, indoor plants, and a prominent green wall behind the reception desk.
The facade of the compact office building complements its interior design through the extensive use of glass, exposed concrete, and steel mesh vertical facade screens. This cohesive design approach creates a seamless transition between the exterior and interior, emphasizing transparency and modernity.
Elphick Proome Architecture’s design for BET Software’s new office building demonstrates a thoughtful integration of industrial style with natural elements, resulting in a vibrant and inspiring workspace.
