Symbolic Spaces recently shared the completion of one of their flagship hospitality project in Accra, Sky Bar. The project’s handover marks the culmination of collaboration between Symbolic Spaces’ design team and site teams.
According to the architects, their design approach for Sky Bar was a response to the client’s brief which emphasized elevating the hospitality experience, seeking sophistication and sleekness. Symbolic Spaces delivered a design solution which features a curated material palette, combining timber, marble, and onyx to create a striking visual and tactile experience.
The brief was straightforward, and all about the visitors and patrons – “let’s elevate the Sky Bar hospitality experience. Keep it sophisticated and sleek”.

Upon arrival, a large pivot door greets guests, leading to a lobby with a backlit onyx reception desk and timber accent wall. The dark panel walls sets the tone for an exclusive experience. Consistency is maintained throughout the space, with the material combination extending to lift lobbies, connecting guests.
