Our Visit To the Design Now Exhibition in Lagos Organised by Essential Interiors As Part of Muson Festival 2016

Last updated:

Over the weekend, we were at the Muson Center Lagos, for the Design Now Exhibition organised by Essential Interiors magazine in collaboration with Design Museum as a special highlight of on going Muson Festival 2016.

We got to see some great work from a selection of Nigerian designers, artists and architects. Two of such individuals, happened to be Damola Rufai (the man behind the Esho table and Esho Lamp) and Arc. Tosin Oshinowo, (the lady behind the maryland mall, 2 beautiful beach houses and the aso-oke accent chair).

It was an enriching experience getting to meet with the people behind the work, and of course, seeing the work itself. The exhibition is on going and runs through till October 23rd 2016. (This Sunday).

Here’s a look at who and what we saw.

ILE ILA(House of Lines) BY TOSIN OSHINOWO

ILE-ILA (House of Lines) is also another indigenous brand from Tosin Oshinowo, principal architect, CMD+A. The brand, which officially launches in November, features upholstered arm chairs, such as the Aso Oke Chair and a more recent offering inspired by the idea of clean lines and geometry. The latter basically stole the show at the exhibition. design-now_09livinspaces design-now_12livinspaces design-now_17livinspaces design-now_18livinspaces design-now_25livinspacesdesign-now_14livinspaces
