ATO Studios is pleased to announce the inaugural edition of the Design > VR Competition. This competition’s aim is for architecture as a discipline to reclaim its leading role as arbiters of the built environment in tackling the most pressing challenges in Africa today.
The competition will invite entries from the next generation of architects who according to Ugo Chris-Aluta, Director of Corporate Communications at ATO can “bring fresh eyes to tackle the challenges of built environment today”. The objective is for the participants to creatively answer the question of how architecture can be more adaptive to topical challenges of COVID-19 and Climate change.
The works of participants will be judged by a 3-person panel made up of Tosin Oshinowo, Principal of CMDesignAtelier, Adeyemo Shokunbi, Co-Creative Director PatrickWaheed Lagos, and Ekaete Bassey-Fujah, Managing Director ATO Architects.
Participants will also be expected to present their design concepts in VR format. They will also be required to register using this link: bit.ly/ATODesignVRCompetition before receiving the Competition Brief. The Winner gets an internship contract with ATO Architects, public recognition at the 9th ATO Annual Lecture and a Certificate of Participation. Entries will close by 19th November 2021.
