The Association of Consulting Architects of Nigeria (ACAN) is pleased to announce the launch of a new online publication titled ‘Architects Say__________’.
The Open Call for this maiden edition invites architectural visions/concepts/solutions at any scale, that respond to any of the following topical issues: COVID-19, Insecurity, Restructuring, Power Supply, Traffic, and Flooding.
“for long, architectural practice in Nigeria has been insular, it is high time our voices were heard in the scheme of affairs in the nation, hence the timeliness of this publication….because of the online fatigue occasioned by COVID-19 lockdown guidelines, we are aware of the shortening attention span of online readers. Therefore, we are experimenting with a one-page format.”

This Open call for this first edition will run from 6th – 20th July 2021. Interested respondents are to send an email with the Title: ‘Open Call’ and the ‘Body’ containing name/s of respondents, phone number, a 150-word synopsis and 1 representative image of their concept/vision/solution/proposal. All images should be optimized within 1920 x 1080 pixels and not more than 5Mb size. The deadline for submissions is 11.59 pm WAT on 20th July 2021. The call is open to architects/designers/students and they need not be members of ACAN. Teams of not more than 4 are also allowed.
