Popular Nigerian beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger, Dimma Umeh, takes us into her modern and minimalist new home.
The home features an overall modern and minimalist aesthetic with white painted walls, layered with white window treatments. In the living room, the white walls presented the perfect canvas for the contrasting natural shades of brown and gold accents from the locally made furniture pieces and decorative elements. The indoor plants added refreshing green highlights in both the living room and the other spaces in her home.
The gold decor items blend nicely with the natural elements, like the woven floor mats and storage baskets (from Lekki Art Market), to the faux wood vinyl floor (from FloorKraft, for which she shed some interesting facts on in the video).
Her filming room / Office She used a couple of these contemporay line arts, which subtly introduced the black and white palette from the walls and window treatment.
Her space is very personal, one she’s invested herself in – from working with local carpenters and Lash Interiors to create furniture pieces that work for her, to DIYing some of the decor items to fit into her grand scheme of a zen space. It’s such a refreshing space, one we are so happy to share. If you would like to get any of the pieces you see in the video, visit this link to her site for a comprehensive list of all the items used and where to get them.
P. S. Make sure you watch the video, so you see how she easily created this space on a budget and leave your thoughts about this home in the comment section.
