In this video, courtesy estate intel, we get a chance to walk through the Madina tower, an 8,140 sqm office development on Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The guys from estate intel are chaperoned by the project supervisor, who offers insights as to the progress on site and what to expect from the building when completed. Here’s some of what we know. The Madina Tower was designed by Lebanese Practice, Badih and Kanter Architects, to be a landmark property offering all the modern day conveniences of an upscale office tower.
The 16 floor building is a fully serviced office complex, with 12 storeys of office spaces designe for two wings each with restricted access and toilet facilities. The offices have spacious interiors with 2.65m net height ceilings, 600 mm suspended ceiling which incorporates insulation & soundproofing and vitrified ceramic high-grade floors. The offices are more spacious, partly due to the post tension design that limits additional columns.
The car park covers 3780 sqm and can accommodate 122 cars on the basement level, the ground floor (which incorporates a 5 meter high reception lobby and showroom) and two additional elevated floors (P1 & P2) which allow for direct access to each floor, via computerized electronic security.
Madina Tower’s facade is a combination of structural double glazing and wood skin cladding It also feature’s the latest VRV air conditioning technology from Daikin, all of which is aimed at decreasing energy loads and consumption.
The tower also features 3 Mitsulift elevators serving all the floors, one of which is a high capacity lift for commuting heavy goods. a CCTV system, metered electricity, surge protection systems, magnetic card control, fire alarm system, and a Panasonic Pabx for efficient communication, all of which are compliant with the latest international requirements.
