Maison by Ineallison recently completed this renovation and re-modelling project, or project Remoda as it’s titled, which involved the transformation of a 40 sqm commercial space into a lifestyle retail outlet for an ICT company.
The concept behind the design took a cue from the phrase “Trash to Treasure”, and saw the designers carry out an extensive refurbishment of the existing space which included new electrical wiring as well as new dry wall partitioning and new flooring. The scheme sought to depart from the conventional retail setup and offer a more lifestyle oriented design. As such the design included soft furnishing, hardwood shelving, ambient lighting and new SPC Flooring.
Work on the project commenced just before the country wide lock-down brought on by the COVID-19 Pandemic and as a result had to be delayed till after the lock-down was eased. This introduced a unique set of challenges in material sourcing and procurement along with the work schedule which had to adhere to the curfew times that were in effect.
