I have a total bias for black/dark finishes so its no surprise I love this project; I feel they are very daring and offer a great foundation for some awesome contrast and richness, something that’s quite evident in this office space by Bangkok based Interior and Architecture Design Studio, Metaphor. Designed for a Steelworks and Construction industry in Bangkok, the office is built inside the existing factory with a wooden structure whose exterior bears semblance to the dark look of unpolished, natural steel.
The interior is a blend of the same dark finished wood, light natural wood, black finishes and fittings creating a bold but subtle contrast. The combination of all the different features leaves a space that’s cosy, strong and reminiscent of old industrial offices.
