Job Description

Dwellion Design, an interior architecture and design studio based in Lagos, Nigeria is looking to hire a Design Architect to join their team. The ideal candidate for this Design Architect job is someone with very creative design skills, adept in space planning with a strong eye for detail.

Job Overview

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor or HND Degree

Experience Level: Intermediate level

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and presentation of very creative design proposals.
  • Creating detailed drawings and specifications for architectural projects using the required computer aided design software.
  • Specifying the materials needed for the construction of projects.
  • Meeting with construction professionals and clients to discuss feasibility of designs.
  • Review designs to ensure they align with safety and planning regulations.
  • Working with contractors, surveyors, building service engineers and other professionals at the different stages of the project.
  • Coordinating work between various contractors.
  • Visiting proposed locations and building sites.
  • Resolving issues that come up project design and construction.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in architecture.
  • Must have a high level of creativity and imagination.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The use of Photoshop for presentation would be an added advantage.
  • Must have a keen interest in the built environment and the commitment to see projects through to the end.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD).
  • Must have a keen eye for detail.
  • Must be very organized – with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have an analytical mind with excellent problem-solving and mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to work productively within a team of other professionals.
