Job Description

As a senior architect at Beautiful Ideas, you will play a key role in leading architectural design projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design process, ensuring that projects meet client requirements, budget constraints, and regulatory standards. Additionally, you will provide leadership and guidance to architectural teams, fostering collaboration and creativity to deliver high-quality designs.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead architectural design projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional buildings, from initial concept development through to construction completion.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor architectural teams, including architects, designers, and drafters, to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project goals, and translate these into innovative and practical design solutions.
  • Design Development: Oversee the development of architectural designs, including conceptual sketches, detailed drawings, and 3D models, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant requirements, obtaining necessary permits and approvals as needed.
  • Construction Oversight: Provide on-site supervision and support during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise and ensuring the quality and integrity of the final built environment.
  • Budget and Schedule Management: Manage project budgets and schedules effectively, monitoring costs, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with developments in architectural technology, materials, and construction methods, applying this knowledge to enhance design efficiency, sustainability, and performance.
  • Client Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of architectural designs and documentation, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy. 10. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Professional licensure or registration as an architect is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 – 10 years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovative design solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working on a variety of project types and scales, with a focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship preferred.
