CPDI Africa Unveils Centre for Afrocentric Design Advancement at African University of Science and Technology

CPDI Africa is set to mark a significant milestone with the Grand Opening Celebration of its Centre for Afrocentric Design Advancement (CADA) at the African University of Science and Technology, Nigeria.

The event, scheduled for May 11th, Saturday, 2024, from 12 PM to 6 PM, with the official ceremony commencing at 2:00 PM, will take place at Mandela House, located within the African University of Science and Technology premises in Galadimawa, Abuja.

The celebration promises to be an exclusive affair showcasing the richness of African creativity. Highlighting the event is “The Art of African Architecture Exhibition,” along with a special feature exhibition on the architectural legacy of Demas Nwoko. Additionally, attendees can immerse themselves in a digital exhibition featuring celebrated Nigerian-centric designers.

As part of the festivities, a guest presentation will be held on May 12th, Sunday, 2024, in a virtual format. Renowned artist Lemi Ghariokwu, recognized as “The King of Covers,” will delve into the topic of “Creativity in African Design and Breaking Boundaries.” This celebration by CPDI Africa will be further enlivened by live creative performances and entertainment courtesy of ‘IMI.’
