In a place like Lagos that primarily co-habits with water bodies, scenic interior designs are fast becoming a necessary phenomenon and selling point in the real estate industry. One of such is this neo-classical living room by Onnalush Interiors.
In keeping with contemporary design trends seen in both residential and hospitality projects, this space embraces an open-concept layout. Departing from traditional closed-off dining rooms, the configuration now seamlessly integrates dining and living areas. The term “dining areas” is now more fitting than “dining rooms”.
The well-lit space is enveloped in a soothing neutral color palette, allowing furnishings, fixtures, and fittings to showcase shades of blue and brown, accented with gold and silver. Onnalush Interior introduced wall moldings and vibrant art, contributing to the transitional aesthetics of this neo-classical living room.
The entertainment area features a straightforward layout, featuring a blue L-shaped sectional sofa, a single light brown lounger seat, and a glass-top center table with dark wooden legs. The defined entertainment space is complemented by an area rug that aligns with the black-and-white color scheme of the bold artwork near the TV. The TV wall incorporates a dark wood floating console with a white glossy backboard hosting the television set.
The dining area seamlessly blends with the backdrop of this neo-classical living room, featuring a 6-seater dining table set with cream-colored seats. Onnalush introduces a sizable circular mirror to visually expand the space and pairs it with a striking colorful wall art piece.
General lighting in this neo-classical living room is provided through warm-white recessed ceiling lights, a drop-down chandelier in the dining area, and wall sconces positioned behind the chairs in the living room.
