Project Details
- Scope: Renovations + Furnishing
- Location: Tribeca, New York City
- Photography: Trevor Parker + Joe KRAMM
Dubbed “Tribeca”, this apartment renovation project by Project AZ in New York, transformed a one-bedroom bachelor pad into a modern and stylish 3 bedroom apartment, with a masculine tone and sophisticated decor, created with guests in mind.
Each bedroom has its own closet and an en suite bathroom. This was made possible by dividing the expansive master bedroom into 2 rooms. A bathroom was added for the new bedroom while preserving the 2 walk-in closets + ensuite master bathroom.
The den was separated from the kitchen to create a home office with a sofa bed, which provides an additional bedroom space. This also allowed for installation of more cabinets in the kitchen, expanding storage. The kitchen island was given a bar top that provides a casual dining spot, while the existing pantry space was reconfigured into a bar for entertaining.
For an apartment renovation project which took off at the start of the pandemic, the additional spaces created where more than ideal and fit with the new reality. Adding the bar to the apartment and creating additional bedrooms allowed the owner to host during the times where going out was not much of an option. This allowed them and their friends to continue to socialize in a safe environment. Subdividing the existing spaces produced 3 unique bedrooms with enough space for socializing and working for home.
