[dropcap size=big]A[/dropcap]s featured on dwell magazine, The Bobertz Residence in San Diego, California is described as a “luminous example of mid-century modernist ideals”. The home was designed in 1953, by Case Study architect Craig Ellwood and built in 1955. After years of modification and wear, the home was recently restored to its original glory.
The resulting abode showcases an architectural and material clarity with sliding glass doors, stained redwood paneling, cork floors, and tongue-and-groove ceilings.
