La Maison Douillet, a Lagos-based interior design studio, designed an enigmatic grey living room for a residence in Nigeria. With different shades of grey and wood, they created a visually layered design.
The living room design by La Maison Douillet presents a distinctive ambiance characterized by dark grey walls, a white ceiling, and light-shaded wooden flooring. The studio has applied a meticulous approach to create a space that balances modern sophistication and comfort.
The furniture selection in this grey living room consists of an L-shaped sectional sofa that takes a prominent position, accompanied by a round coffee table set. The large windows allow natural light during the day and are complemented by blackout drapes for privacy when necessary.
The transition from the living room to the dining area maintains a cohesive design. A round grey 4-seater dining set is the focal point, accompanied by a grey console setup on one side and a full-length mirror on the other. A grey area rug defines the seating area, providing a tactile element to the room’s overall design.
The designer chose to furnish the grey living room with framed pictures, wall art, flowers and indoor plants for personalization and to bring the space alive.
