Dwellion Design, a Nigerian Interior Design Studio, put together a scandi-modern living room design for their “Northern Foreshore Project”. With a neutral but commanding colour palette and purpose fitted furniture, they created a chic and homogenous space.
The color palette used in this scandi-modern living room is a symphony of white, off-white, beige, dark brown, and black. The plain white floor and ceiling serve as the perfect canvas, allowing these hues to shine and create a sense of harmony throughout the space. The beige backdrop on the walls adds warmth and sophistication, while the carefully chosen furniture pieces and accents enhance the overall aesthetic.
One noticeable feature of the space is the division into two zones—the entertainment area and the dining area. This separation serves a functional purpose and is achieved through the arrangement of specialized furniture.
The entertainment zone welcomes you with an inviting off-white sectional sofa that boasts not only comfort but also a built-in side table for added convenience accompanied by two cylindrical side tables. Two matching armchairs provide additional seating, each adorned with plush throw pillows that offer both style and coziness.
At the heart of this ensemble sits a two-tier, multi-material artistic center table, all resting on a rectangular area rug that ties the elements together. The TV wall adheres to the color scheme of white, dark brown, and black, seamlessly blending into the scandi-modern living room design.
In the dining zone, a glossy rectangular 6-seater dining table is flanked by six Nordic dining seats, while a dynamic drop-down light fixture hangs above. The area is balanced by a black and white console and ample built-in wall storage, emphasizing both practicality and aesthetics in the scandi-modern living room design.
Dwellion Design’s approach to this scandi-modern living room design focuses on the marriage of form and function, resulting in a space that is practical and functional while adhering to a neutral design approach.
