ACAN launches 1-page publication with Open Call for futuristic proposals

The Association of Consulting Architects of Nigeria (ACAN) is pleased to announce the launch of a new online publication titled ‘Architects Say__________.

This publication, according to the association’s Publications Committee will be a submission-based, fast read online publication heralded by an Open Call and launch across all ACAN’s social media channels by 31st July 2021.

The Open Call for this maiden edition invites architectural visions/concepts/solutions at any scale, that respond to any of the following topical issues: COVID-19, Insecurity, Restructuring, Power Supply, Traffic, and Flooding.

“for long, architectural practice in Nigeria has been insular,  it is high time our voices were heard in the scheme of affairs in the nation, hence the timeliness of this publication….because of the online fatigue occasioned by COVID-19 lockdown guidelines, we are aware of the shortening attention span of online readers. Therefore, we are experimenting with a one-page format.”

Mrs. Patience Okonta, Chairperson, ACAN Publications Committee
