This Philippine City is Making Bricks From Volcanic Ash

Biñan City in Laguna, Philippines, which was recently affected by heavy ashfall from the nearby Taal Volcano has started collecting the same ash to make bricks. The bricks are produced in a state-owned facility producing up to 5000 bricks daily, which will provide needed building materials for post-disaster reconstruction in neighbouring towns also affected by the Volcano.
