The African Talent Company seeks qualified candidates to fill the role of a Business Development Manager for a client in Nigeria (a lighting company).

Job Description
We are looking at engaging a business head for our led lighting division The candidate should have extensive technical experience of the Dialux software program and the ability to interact with project managers/architects/ consultants to understand their requirement and formulate a solution that best suits their requirements.

The candidate must already have experience dealing with large architects and other key stakeholders/ influencers with the aim of getting our product range specified for both small and large scale products The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
  • Build long-term relationships with and existing customers.
  • Develop entry-level staff into valuable sales people.

Requirements

  • 6-8 Years Proven work experience as a business development officer, sales executive or a relevant role.
  • Proven sales track record.
  • Experience in B2B Sales, Retail Sales (customer support is a plus).
  • Proficiency in MS Office & Dialux Lighting Software.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Market knowledge of Real Estate.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Time management and planning skills.
  • BSc/BA in Engineering, business administration, sales or relevant field.
  • Marketing and Sales Skills and Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management, Instrumentations Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Information Systems or a Related Field, Customer Service, Client Relationships, Marketing Strategies, Product Development, Creativity, Data Tracking, Written and Verbal Communication, Organisation, Planning, Research and Analysis, People Management, Leadership.
