First Synergi is looking to hire an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Procurement Officer to oversee the company’s purchases.

The company undertakes Residential, Commercial, and Industrial construction projects in different geopolitical zones of the country. Also, they do a full turnkey project from the design stage through the construction stage for individuals and corporate clients. They have a strong staff strength about half of which are direct industry professionals. First Synergi is managed by a team of seasoned professionals and retains quality delivery and clients’ satisfaction, as its core values has remained its key success factors over the years.

Job Overview

Minimum Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in any related course of study
Experience Level: Junior to Intermediary level
Experience Length: 2-5 years

Job Responsibilities

  • Research potential suppliers/vendors
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
  • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
  • Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers
  • Negotiating contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Track orders and ensure they are delivered on time
  • Ensure that the products and supplies are of high quality
  • Keep record of orders in the company’s database
  • Ensure that such records are maintained
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure that orders are placed before running out
  • Stay updated with industry trends by attending trade shows, exhibitions and online sourcing platforms

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years working experience as a Procurement Officer or Purchasing Officer
  • Must have a Bsc in Business Administration, Quantity Survey, Logistics or any related course of study
  • Skills in Quantity Surveying is an added advantage
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
  • Must be proficient in the use of Computer
  • Must be proficient in the use of WORD, Excel and other purchasing software like Procurify or SpendMap etc.
  • Must understand supply chain procedures
  • Must have excellent analytical skills
  • Must have excellent negotiation skills
