We are looking for entrepreneurial and “hands on” candidates ready to be part of a startup office.

The Technical Lead is responsible for delivering technical excellence, producing detailed design packages, managing risk, supervising and inspecting projects on site. You will report directly to the Creative Director on a number of projects and oversee, support and advise the team on all technical aspects of the project in order to sustain the highest level of design innovation and high quality project delivery within specified time and financial constraints.

Good spoken and written English as well as a  minimum of 4 years experience in an architectural office or construction company is required.

Studio Contra Mundum is an newly established architectural, interior and industrial design studio based in Lagos, Nigeria. The practice is committed to the delivery of innovative, sensitive and thoughtfully-detailed architecture for clients with an equal enthusiasm for design. Projects span from the small to the medium scale, creating places to live, work, participate and learn.

The practice is driven by conceptual thinking, cultural relevance and the value of craftsmanship. Our designs are rooted in their context and locality and we employ diverse methods, both digital and analogue, to test and communicate ideas including material prototyping, physical modelling, digital computation, drawing, photography and collage.

Contra Mundum is an outward-looking and forward-thinking practice; we have collaborative partners in London and Boston who participate in our design process.
