Job Description

We are looking for a talented Architectural Designer to participate in the conceptualisation, design and execution of projects. You will lead projects and engage with clients and consultants from concept to construction. Studio Contra is an ARCON registered and RIBA chartered architectural, urban and interior design practice based in Lagos with projects in Nigeria, Ghana and the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Design compelling, rigorously conceived and high quality, architecture and interiors and urban spaces through all stages from concept to completion.
  • Participate in coordination with consultants on the project team as well as clients.
  • Setting and monitoring project timelines in accordance with client expectations and project resourcing.
  • Leading teams within the office.
  • Inspection of projects on site while coordinating with engineers, consultants and contractors.
  • Staying up to date with international best practices and design culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Level Degree in Architecture
  • At least 3 years experience working in architecture
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent CAD and 3D modelling skills – Revit and Sketchup are essential
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign), is a plus.
  • Desire and ability to work hard and be self-motivated
  • Ability to work well in a team with the confidence to guide others
  • Ability to pay superior attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently when necessary.
  • Personal integrity and honesty
