Beddings and Beyond is looking to hire a creative Interior Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate is expected to have a good understanding of space planning to create functional layouts, as well as demonstrate top-notch creativity in styling, material and colour selection. The candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision and still be able to conceptualize, design and implement timeless, beautiful, and functional spaces that are true to their brand.

Job Overview

Minimum Qualification: Degree
Experience Level: Intermediate level
Experience Length: 3-5 years

Key Responsibilities

• Outline and understand client objectives.
• Develop concept plans and design solutions from an understanding of client objectives.
• Create mood boards and colour schemes to illustrate concepts, ideas and proposals.
• Material selection and sourcing.
• Produce detailed working drawings and specifications.
• Outline the timeline for the completion of projects.
• Outline project requirements and cost for completion of project.
• Supervise site activities to ensure all specifications are met.
• Work efficiently with design team, contractors, and other members of the team.

Job Requirements

• A degree qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related
  field of study. Specialist training in the above is also acceptable.
• Must be proficient in the use of design software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc – to create detailed design layouts and 3D Presentations.
• A very good understanding of space planning and design to generate the best value for projects.
• Skilled in creating mood boards, colour schemes, and material selection.
• Must have a valid international passport and be available to travel.
• Must have good communication and presentation skills.
• Must be a team player – able to work well with other members of the team, as well as be able to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of financial and budgetary management.
