Nigerian Architect, Stephen Ajadi, has won the 2024 Amit Bhasin Prize, a prestigious award which recognizes the most outstanding young African scholar at Cambridge University or a recent alumnus.
The 2024 Amit Bhasin Prize was awarded to Ajadi in recognition of his research in the Sahel region of Nigeria, showcasing architecture’s potential to positively impact troubled communities. This marks the second consecutive year a Nigerian has received the honor, following Inioluwa Popoola’s win in 2023.

His work, addressing the unique challenges of the Sahel region, earned commendation from notable figures including Professor Deborah Prentice, Vice Chancellor, University of Cambridge and Mike Bell, Member of Cambridge Society for Application of Research, University of Cambridge.
Through his research and practice at Ruban Office, Ajadi continues to drive innovative and sustainable development in African cities.
